We Are Hear(ing)

Just a play on words since Penny had a follow up hearing test today - she didn't pass in her right ear when they were in the hospital. I've been MIA because it was a long day. Tomorrow I'll post some pictures and fill you all in on the details. My Sweet P is fine - hearing within normal range - and it was our longest twin infant outing yet. Thanks to assistance from my sister Allie who is in town we made it through the 3 hour excursion with me breastfeeding in yet another weird place. I definitely need some tips because I spend the whole time bending over them - especially without my stool and myriad of pillows.

It sounds ridiculous, but a friend of mine (with a singleton) brought a nursing pillow with her wherever she went for the first few months. She was most comfortable when she was able to use the pillow, so she just kept it with her whenever she could. I think she had an extra one that she just kept in the car and threw in the basket underneath the stroller. Sounds a little kooky, maybe, but you do whatever works, right?

For a long time, when I had to go out with my boys and knew I would need to nurse, I brought my twin nursing pillow. I can shove it into the basket of our stroller. It will get easier, though. I nursed them at the same time on an airplane more than once this summer. I will say, don't get lured in by the inflatable twin nursing pillow. It doesn't work for me AT ALL. It's always either too firm or too squishy.

Not sure if it will work with twins, but have you tried bfing in a sling. It does help out.

I used to nurse one at a time in the front seat of our car. With Logan, I used to sit on the floor in the back (We took one of the captain's chairs out) Takes a while to make yourself not bend over them, but it works. Sounds like a pillow is the way to go though! (Why didn't I think of that?? ;) )

Glad to hear that Penny's just fine :)
