9 Months and At Least One Growing

Husband took the kids to their well visit with the Nanny. I've been really jammed up at work for days and I could go on and on about expectations/guilt being a working mom but I'll just give you the info:

  • Ned: 19 lbs, 2 oz; 27.5 inches. No idea on percentages but I'll guess 50% for both and check the growth charts later.
  • Penny: 13 lbs, 6 oz; 25 inches. I'm guessing 0% (or really negative I guess) for weight and 5% for height (decreasing from 10%, no surprise) means she has only gained 11 ounces in three months. Jesus - didn't realize writing about it could make me as misty-eyed as talking about it does.

Random pictures of the kids from Ohio so I can think about how cute they are when I'm trying to work.

"I could go on and on about expectations/guilt being a working mom" -- did you hear me crying in my office just now or is this all just a coincidence?

Hugs for the working mom guilt. I am so there on that one sometimes.

Hope the Dr. visit was good overall. I'm cheering for little Penny!

Even working from home I can feel the guilt too.

I'm right there with you when it comes to guilt. I am also right there with you when it comes to trying to figure out what is wrong with your little one. DS1 has had GI issues (probably from day one but I was too stupid to recognize it). It just kills you to go through this with them and not have any answers. I hope you do get some answers soon. Will Penny be going to any specialists soon?

Yup - right there with you on the mom guilt. It goes back and forth between guilt cuz I'm not there and guilt cuz I'm so friggin' happy that I can get out sometimes!

I hope you figure out what's going on with Penny soon. Maybe she's just destined to be a tiny little thing.

Love the pictures. They're so cute. Guilt and motherhood go hand-in-hand. It sucks that we have to make such a difficult choice. Especially when we are great at what we do outside of the house. You're a great mom-I can tell by how much you care for your little ones;)

Such sweet, beautiful kiddos. I'm so sorry that Penny's weight/feeding issues are so stressful. I wish I could wave a magic wand for you.

Hang in there, sweet Penny. I hear you on the guilt. It's really hard for me to leave the house, and I wish I had a hovercraft to get out of Boston traffic on my way home.
